Bought one of these myself. On the run up to various forces recently leaving Afghanistan, it was amazing what you could receive with one of these antennas and an SDR, heard the radio traffic about the runway been swamped with people and landing aircraft having to go around several times till the run...

Hack RF, is it worth it?
Anyone here have a Hack RF sdr? I have a SDRsmart, an RTL V3.0 dongle and an SDRplay RSP2. All great but as I like to use various software decoding tools, such as within DragonOS, I find I struggle to get driver/software support, but a lot of these software tools do support the HackRF out of the box...

Both valid points. What we have to remember that it is an open band, during the day on ch8 I get various things coming through, such as a local Gliding Club, a River Rowing Club, Schools and pubs/takeaways, also kids screaming at each other.
